Key Responsibilities:

  1. Provide targeted small group instruction under the supervision of certified staff.
  2. Encourage and model positive social interactions and behaviors among students.
  3. Assist with personal care needs of students, including feeding and mobility support.
  4. Monitor and document students' academic and behavioral progress as directed.
  5. Engage with and supervise students throughout the school day, including during recreational and transitional periods.
  6. Support students during arrival, dismissal, and lunch, and assist with classroom preparation as needed.
  7. Implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and behavior intervention plans.
  8. Participate in professional development to improve skills related to special education.
  9. Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions.

Qualifications:

Education: Minimum requirement of an Associate's Degree or equivalent college credit hours from an accredited institution.

Experience: Prior experience working with children is preferred.

Skills: Proficient in basic computer applications, demonstrates a positive attitude, and maintains confidentiality.

Physical Requirements: The position may require light to medium physical activity, including lifting and mobility support.
