Requirements:

  • Understanding of business objectives and problems, with the ability to identify alternative solutions and perform cost/benefit analysis
  • Analyzing user requirements, procedures, and problems to automate processing or improve existing computer systems
  • Providing technical assistance and support for applications and hardware problems, as well as information sharing with external entities in a customer service environment
  • Determining operational, technical, and support requirements for office equipment and systems
  • Preparing charts, diagrams, tables, and flowcharts, and detailing input and output record formats for computer programs
  • Assisting in formulating logical descriptions of problems and devising optimum solutions
  • Assisting in the design, development, and maintenance of various computer applications
  • May provide support and make recommendations for information technology systems processes associated with software technology planning, development, implementation, system security, and interfaces
