Position Overview:
We are looking for a qualified Consulting Psychologist to be part of our innovative team within the healthcare sector. This position is tailored for a professional with extensive knowledge of psychological principles who can effectively apply them to elevate patient care. The Consulting Psychologist will be tasked with conducting psychological assessments, formulating treatment strategies, and collaborating with healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes. Additionally, this role involves engaging with patients, their families, and other specialists to address mental health challenges and developmental disorders, including autism.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Perform thorough diagnostic assessments for patients, particularly those with developmental disorders and autism.
2. Offer psychological support to patients and their families to aid in understanding and managing their conditions.
3. Create, execute, and evaluate personalized treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs.
4. Work alongside multidisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure cohesive patient care.
5. Provide expert consultation to medical staff to integrate psychological insights into patient management.
6. Engage in research to remain informed about the latest advancements in psychological practices within the medical domain.
7. Educate healthcare professionals and the public on mental health and psychological matters.
8. Comply with all professional, ethical, and legal standards as outlined by the relevant regulatory bodies.
Qualifications:
1. A PhD in Psychology from an accredited institution.
2. A valid license to practice as a Psychologist in California.
3. At least 2 years of relevant experience in a similar capacity, ideally within the healthcare field.
4. Proficient in conducting diagnostic evaluations and formulating treatment plans.
5. Significant experience working with patients with developmental disabilities and autism.
6. Strong communication and collaboration skills.
7. Comprehensive understanding of contemporary research, treatments, and trends in psychology.
8. Ability to function effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
9. Commitment to ethical standards and maintaining patient confidentiality.
10. Proven ability to handle sensitive situations with empathy and professionalism.
11. Strong analytical capabilities and decision-making skills based on data.
12. Effective time management and task prioritization skills.
13. Proficient in utilizing software and databases for patient documentation and research.
