Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cath Lab Director, Associate Professor of Cardiovascular Medicine to join our team at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the daily operations of the cardiac catheterization laboratory and interventional cardiology section
  • Develop and implement clinical protocols and quality control standards to ensure patient safety and optimize patient outcomes
  • Provide patient-centered care and perform complex cardiovascular interventions, including angioplasty, stenting, and other procedures
  • Evaluate and manage patients with complex cardiovascular diseases in both inpatient and outpatient settings
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care to patients
  • Participate in educational initiatives, such as grand rounds, journal clubs, and research projects
  • Mentor and support junior colleagues, residents, and medical students
  • Act as a liaison between the cardiology department and other clinical departments and hospital leadership
Requirements
  • MD or DO degree from an accredited institution
  • Board certification in Interventional Cardiology and Cardiovascular Disease
  • Current Florida medical license
  • DEA registration
  • At least five years of clinical experience as an Interventional Cardiologist
  • Demonstrated excellence in leadership, education, and academic pursuits
