Job Summary

This is a challenging opportunity for a skilled Master Electrician to join our team at Lowell Correctional Institution. As a key member of our maintenance unit, you will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and installation of all types of electrical infrastructure, electrical systems, and electrical devices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain, repair, and install electrical infrastructure, systems, and devices
  • Supervise and provide on-the-job training to inmates
  • Perform preventive maintenance and maintenance repairs
  • Keep records related to tasks assigned
  • Follow approved methods and procedures of local, state, or federal codes, tools, safety, and established security procedures
  • Prepare reports as directed by the Maintenance Superintendent
Requirements
  • A high school diploma or equivalent and at least one year of experience in the Electrical/Electrician field
  • Four or more years of experience in the Electrical/Electrician field (College or vocational/technical training in one of the above-listed trades can substitute for the required experience)
  • A valid Driver's License
Working Conditions

This position is located at Lowell Correctional Institution in Bushnell, FL. The successful candidate must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
