Job Title: Commercial Construction Assistant Project Manager

At HITT Contracting, we're seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Commercial Construction Assistant Project Manager to join our team. As a key member of our project management team, you will be responsible for ensuring the successful delivery of commercial construction projects on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain adherence to HITT's standards of safety and ensure that required documentation is filed in a timely manner.
  • Assist in creating and managing project budgets for all assigned projects, including developing pre-construction RFP packages and negotiating subcontract change orders.
  • Collaborate with project superintendents and site operations teams to ensure project quality control and establish overall project logistics.
  • Update project schedules, ensure project quality control, and establish overall project logistics.
  • Assist in managing the closeout process and collaborate with the project superintendent and site operations team throughout the life of the project.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma required, four-year degree from an accredited university with a concentration in construction, engineering, or business is strongly preferred.
  • In lieu of a degree, additional work experience is acceptable.
  • 2-5 years' experience in commercial construction, including experience with a commercial general contractor.
  • Previous experience on commercial job sites is strongly preferred.
  • Possession of a strong ability to communicate clearly, concisely, and professionally, with a strong focus on audience-appropriate business writing and verbal skills.
  • Demonstrate a positive attitude and passion for construction and our industry.
  • Ability to master sector/project-specific software systems, including Microsoft Office suite, ProCore, Adobe, BlueBeam, and JD Edwards.
