We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced House Supervisor RN to join our team at CHRISTUS Health. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our nursing units and providing exceptional patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise and Guide Nursing Staff: Provide guidance and support to nursing staff on all units, ensuring that they have the necessary resources and training to provide high-quality patient care.
- Coordinate Patient Care: Screen incoming patients for appropriateness of admission and facilitate placement in the proper level of care.
- Represent the Hospital: Act as the hospital's administrative representative, responding to incidents and events, and taking appropriate action to ensure the well-being of patients and staff.
- Collaborate with Administration: Consult with the on-call administrator as needed to ensure that patient care and hospital operations are aligned with organizational goals.
- Manage Staffing: Provide staffing for oncoming shifts, assigning staff to meet the needs of each unit, and making changes to KRONOS scheduling as necessary.
- Monitor Competency and Orientation: Utilize competency and orientation checklists to ensure that temporary reassignments and agency staff are properly trained and equipped to provide high-quality patient care.
- Provide Input on Staff Performance: Work collaboratively with directors and managers to provide input on staff performance and make recommendations for improvement.
- Education and Experience: Graduate of a Registered Nursing program, Bachelor's degree preferred or actively pursuing with completion within 2 years. Minimum of 1-3 years of clinical patient care experience in a relevant setting.
- Licenses and Certifications: RN License in state of employment or compact, BLS certification.
