Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct Duplex ultrasound examinations and peripheral arterial/venous assessments as directed by medical professionals.
  • Perform ambulatory monitoring studies and non-invasive vascular interventions using advanced ultrasound technology.
  • Review and analyze patient medical histories, preparing comprehensive reports for physician evaluation.
  • Ensure optimal functionality of equipment through regular maintenance, adjustments, and repairs, while managing supply inventories.
  • Engage in quality improvement initiatives and adhere to regulatory compliance standards.
  • Provide training and guidance to students and healthcare staff as necessary.

Qualifications:

  • Must hold certification as a Registered Vascular Technologist with a solid understanding of vascular diagnostic principles and methodologies.
  • A minimum of two years of clinical experience with proficiency in Duplex ultrasound and vascular diagnostic procedures.
  • Familiarity with Doppler techniques, color flow Doppler, Ankle-Brachial Index (ABI), segmental pressure assessments, and transcutaneous oxygen measurements.
  • Capability to assist in thermal and chemical vein ablation techniques.

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to walk, stand, and operate medical equipment in a clinical environment.
  • Occasional lifting of over 100 lbs. while adhering to safety protocols.
  • Manual dexterity required for operating computer systems and medical apparatus.
