Job Summary:

Henrico County Virginia is seeking a skilled Corrections Security Specialist to join our team. This role involves assisting deputies and staff in overseeing inmate security and welfare. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of DCJS, DOC, ACA, and PREA regulations and standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain a sound working knowledge of relevant regulations and standards.
  • Utilize computer skills to operate complex systems and software.
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues and stakeholders.
  • Work independently and as part of a team.
  • Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with care.

Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Entry-level proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
  • Excellent judgment and tact.

Additional Information:
  • CPS and criminal history record check.
  • Pre-employment physical examination.
  • Camera monitoring training program.
  • Valid Virginia driver's license.
