Data Center Security Officer Job Description

As a Data Center Security Officer with Salute Mission Critical, you will play a critical role in ensuring the security and integrity of our data centers. Your responsibilities will include conducting unarmed foot and/or vehicle patrols, controlling access and egress, monitoring closed-circuit televisions and alarm systems, composing reports, deterring criminal activity and misconduct, and performing other duties as specified in post orders.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Patrol exterior grounds of the facility to maintain awareness of surroundings and promote physical security and safety.
  • Observe and report suspicious activity to ensure the security and integrity of the data center.
  • Maintain a high level of situational awareness to identify and mitigate potential security risks.
  • Control/direct traffic and permit authorized persons to enter the property.
  • Contribute to communication and awareness of security policies and issues as needed.
Requirements:
  • Military experience is preferred, but not required.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
