The Lead Quality Control Inspector plays a pivotal role in overseeing and guiding the efforts of the Quality Inspection team. This position is essential within our Quality department, fostering a collaborative environment and encouraging professional growth among team members. The ideal candidate will be adaptable and ready to respond to changing priorities while upholding our core values of integrity and accountability. This role reports directly to the Quality Manager.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Promote a proactive safety culture within the department.
- Provide training to team members on general and equipment-specific quality protocols.
- Continuously seek opportunities to enhance productivity and operational efficiency.
- Ensure all departmental activities adhere to established safety standards.
- Conduct mechanical inspections of CNC machined and brazed parts.
- Utilize CMM for both in-process and final inspections; training will be provided as necessary.
- Perform final inspections and complete associated documentation.
- Conduct visual inspections of finished products and assemblies.
- Apply knowledge of GD&T in inspection processes.
- Execute additional responsibilities as assigned.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Prior experience in machine shop quality assurance is advantageous.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
- Excellent verbal communication skills.
- Proven ability to resolve complex technical issues.
