Key Responsibilities:

  • Interface with key stakeholders to understand database requirements and design database configurations
  • Install, set up, operate, and maintain databases (IMS, DB2) for Mainframe / mid-range systems
  • Play a key role in enabling high application & database availability
  • Support business and development teams with timely resolutions of issues
  • Lead validation for all types of testing and support activities related to implementation, transition, and warranty

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution
  • Min 4 years of Information Technology experience
  • 4+ Years of Experience in Mainframe IMS DB, DB2, z/OS experience
  • 3+ years of experience in Tier 1 & Tier 2 End user support

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Create, tune, and monitor IMS and DB2 systems for performance
  • Highly proficient with all aspects of the z/OS operating system administration and support of IMS
  • Knowledge of creating stored procedures and queries in DB2
  • Develop scripts for DB configuration and maintenance routines
