Job Summary
The Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the cargo account at George Bush International Airport, ensuring that operations meet and exceed customer expectations. This includes managing the cargo stations contract, planning and scheduling staff, and mentoring employees to provide excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the cargo stations contract, including Quality Assurance
- Plan, schedule, and mentor staff members to provide customer service
- Assure no delays in the operation and provide clear explanations to cargo customers when unavoidable
- Provide mentoring and consistent standards for all employees, including corrective action when needed
- Be present and lead during weather events and emergencies
- Plan, organize, lead, and meet established standards and goals as required
- Be on call 24/7 for emergencies with a minimum of 5 days directly onsite per week
- Meet with cargo customers to communicate with the management team regularly and direct staff when not present
- Demonstrate regular, predictable attendance at the job location
- Exceed PrimeFlight customer service and safety standards
- Carry out other duties as assigned
Competencies
To perform this job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies: Problem Solving, Customer Service, Interpersonal, and Oral Communication.
Qualifications
- 18 years of age
- Eligible to work in the United States
Education/Experience
Bachelor's degree. Associate's degree or high school diploma or equivalent may be substituted with two or more years relevant experience in the aviation industry.
Language Ability
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to communicate effectively in English.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
Computer Skills
Proficiency is required in Microsoft Excel and Word, sufficient to write letters, organize schedules, and perform other tasks related to operations.
Compensation

Supervisory Responsibilities
This job requires the supervision of all personnel for a major airline account.
