Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to join our Charlotte team. The ideal candidate will have prior forensic industry experience and a strong background in mechanical engineering. As a project lead, you will conduct field investigations, perform failure/accident analysis, and provide technical findings in a clear and concise manner.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct field investigations and analyze incidents involving various vehicles and equipment
  • Lead vehicular accident reconstruction and mechanical failure analysis projects
  • Perform calculations, engineering analysis, computer simulations, and technical reporting
  • Investigate design, safety, and failure of machinery and mechanical systems
  • Communicate complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering required; Master's degree preferred
  • P.E. registration through testing
  • At least 2 years of prior forensic engineering experience
  • Vehicular knowledge is essential
  • NHTSA, Forensic, Racing, or Vehicle Safety background is a plus

Estimated Salary: $85,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience
