Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Production Manager to lead our clean air solutions team at American Air Filter International. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for driving continuous improvement, reducing costs, and increasing efficiencies in our manufacturing processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a team of production supervisors to ensure smooth operations and meet production targets.
  • Monitor and analyze production data to identify areas for improvement and implement process changes.
  • Develop and implement safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment for all employees.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure effective communication and coordination.
  • Lead and direct filter productions to drive continuous improvement in productivity, quality assurance, safety, operating efficiencies, and waste reductions.
  • Facilitate production meetings to discuss planning, materials availability, and staffing issues.
  • Engage the team in identifying and implementing continuous improvement initiatives in safety, quality, cost, productivity, and customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure all employees are working in a safe manner by developing a culture of safety awareness and participation.
  • Review production forecasts to coordinate production with other managers to meet and complete filter production in a timely manner.
  • Perform administrative functions such as employee performance reviews and counseling.
  • Review and update key performance indicators to ensure the facility is on track to meet production goals.
  • Conduct daily production GEMBA walks to optimize production flows and efficiencies.
  • Coordinate with the maintenance department to prioritize repairs and improve Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) and reduce downtime.
  • Ensure employees are properly trained in all aspects of their jobs, including safety, quality, and production.
  • Strictly adhere to facility safety, housekeeping, and quality guidelines.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Operations Management or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in a leadership role and manufacturing or production environment.
  • Knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Process improvement knowledge in a manufacturing environment, such as LEAN Methodology, 5S, Six Sigma, etc.
  • Problem-solving and root cause analysis skills.
  • Leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to motivate teams to exceed expectations.
  • Clear communication, planning, and organizational skills, sense of urgency, accountability, and customer focus.
  • Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment and desire to advance in responsibility within the filters manufacturing arena.
