Work Schedule:
We are seeking a dedicated and empathetic per diem Patient Care Coordinator with expertise in phlebotomy to assist patients in scheduling referral appointments and conducting skilled specimen collections for employees in a corporate setting.
The ideal candidate will possess outstanding interpersonal abilities and foster a supportive atmosphere. We welcome applications from LPNs, Phlebotomists, CNAs, MAs, and Paramedics with phlebotomy experience (Phlebotomy certification preferred).Key Responsibilities:
- Document patient details, including insurance data, and utilize electronic health records.
- Engage with patients to discuss health history, diagnoses, and care requirements.
- Guide patients on essential follow-up care procedures.
- Collaborate with insurance providers to assist with billing and coding processes. Secure pre-approval for treatments.
- Build and maintain professional relationships with service providers.
- Uphold professionalism and treat patients with dignity.
- Accurately perform specimen collections (phlebotomy) and deliver exceptional customer service.
- Gather data and create organized spreadsheets.
Qualifications:
- Demonstrated experience as a patient care coordinator, receptionist, or in related medical scheduling roles. Familiarity with EMR systems is advantageous.
- Must have phlebotomy experience; certification is preferred.
- Valid professional license/certification required.
- Customer service-oriented with excellent bedside manner.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19, including the booster shot.
- Personal laptop/tablet required for work.
