Job Summary

Mass General Brigham is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Renal Transplant Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our transplant program, you will be responsible for coordinating the care of patients undergoing renal and pancreas transplants.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care plans for post-operative renal and pancreas transplant patients
  • Provide in-patient teaching and support to patients and their families
  • Coordinate medical management care for patients in collaboration with transplant nephrologists and surgeons
  • Attend post-transplant clinic sessions and provide teaching, emotional support, and other duties as needed
  • Facilitate interactions among multidisciplinary team members, including physicians, social work, finance coordinator, transplant pharmacist, nutritionist, and outside consultants

Requirements:

  • Graduate of an approved school of nursing with current registration in Massachusetts
  • Minimum two years of experience in renal medicine-focused patient care
  • Minimum two years of experience in abdominal surgery or transplant-focused patient care
  • Triage experience (telephone-based clinical assessment technique) required
  • Comprehension and ability to educate patients regarding immunosuppressants, rejection, and infection treatments strongly preferred
