Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Sports Medicine Specialist to join our team at Ascension. As a key member of our sports medicine department, you will be responsible for assessing injuries and managing comprehensive treatment programs to prevent injury and rehabilitate athletes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess and Manage Injuries: Evaluate and manage injuries, develop treatment plans, and provide medical care to athletes.
  • Design and Implement Training Programs: Create and implement comprehensive training programs to prevent injury and illness among athletes.
  • Collaborate with Medical Team: Work closely with physicians, sports performance staff, and other medical professionals to ensure comprehensive care for athletes.
  • Communicate with Athletes and Coaches: Provide clear and concise communication to athletes and coaches regarding injury status, treatment plans, and progress.
Requirements
  • Licensure/Certification: Licensed Athletic Trainer credentialed from the Kansas Board of Healing Arts required.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree required, Master's degree preferred.
