Project Overview:

We are currently engaged in the development of a Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) production and export facility in Jefferson County, Texas. This project includes the construction of two identical LNG trains, two LNG storage tanks, an LNG carrier berth, and associated utilities and facilities.


Position Summary:

As a Piping Field Engineer, you will leverage your expertise in project field engineering to oversee work planning, material management, quantity verification, safety and quality control, as well as technical inspection and testing. Your insights will be crucial in ensuring that field engineering activities are executed safely, comprehensively, and in accordance with quality standards and project specifications.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Work Planning & Packaging: Prepare construction drawings and facilitate planning of construction methods and procedures.
  • Material Management: Initiate requisitions for field purchases and prepare quantity takeoffs for materials and equipment.
  • Quantity Verification: Verify commodities using tracking systems or other databases as required.
  • Safety & Quality Control: Uphold a zero-accident philosophy, ensuring compliance with safety requirements and maintaining tools and equipment in safe operating condition.
  • Technical Coordination: Engage in continuous learning and development, while coordinating with subcontractors and reviewing inspection test plans.

Education and Experience Requirements:

A bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) with 5-8 years of relevant experience, or 9-12 years of applicable work experience is required.


Essential Skills and Qualifications:
  • Experience with piping installation and testing packages.
  • Familiarity with ASME B31.3 piping code.
  • Proficiency in installing both aboveground and underground piping, including metallic and HDPE.
  • Experience with cryogenic piping is advantageous.
  • Ability to obtain a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC).
