Senior Credit Officer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Credit Officer to join our Structured Finance team at City National Bank. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing credit and loan underwriting expertise to our cash flow lending/leveraged finance group.
Key Responsibilities- Participate in the loan management process by analyzing prospective loan transactions and credit worthiness of borrowers.
- Validate credit analysis prepared by Credit Analysts and provide opinions and recommendations regarding proposed credit and potential risks.
- Ensure all due diligence and background evaluation is complete and thorough before submitting Credit Risk Recommendation.
- Collaborate with Relationship Managers and Credit Managers to determine credit strategy and provide balanced and appropriate credit guidance.
- Develop and implement Action Plans to address potential credit issues and monitor covenants and conditions.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge on all Bank lending policies and regulations.
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Business Administration or a related field.
- Minimum 7 years of experience in underwriting medium to large sized and moderately-complex cash flow credit.
- Minimum 7 years of experience in a banking or financial services environment.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work well independently and in teams.
- Extensive technical expertise and full knowledge of leveraged lending credit principles, financial concepts, and regular use of ingenuity and creativity in solving complex credit problems.
City National Bank offers a competitive salary range of $111,408 - $189,738 per year, with opportunities for bonus and/or commissions. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package and a dynamic work environment.
