Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Automotive Service Technician to join our team at the Ford-Lincoln Veteran Careers Program. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for performing complex repairs and maintenance on vehicles, ensuring that they are returned to our customers in excellent condition.

Key Responsibilities
  • Repair and Maintenance: Perform assigned work as outlined on repair orders with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with dealership and factory standards.
  • Diagnosis and Troubleshooting: Diagnose the cause of malfunctions and perform repairs, if authorized by Service Consultants.
  • Parts Coordination: Coordinate with the Parts Department to ensure availability of parts.
  • Quality Control: Road test vehicles to ensure quality of repair and ensure vehicles remain clean.
  • Documentation: Document work performed as directed by Service Consultants.
  • Continuing Education: Keep abreast of factory technical bulletins and attend factory-sponsored training classes.
Requirements
  • Experience: Have at least 3 years of experience working as a Technician in an automotive service department.
  • Qualifications: Valid driver's license and a clear driving record.
  • Skills: Ability to operate power and hand tools and other types of machinery safely, read and comprehend technical instruction, and lift up to 50 pounds unassisted.
  • Personal Qualities: Good communication skills and the ability to work with the public.
