About This RoleThis is an exciting opportunity to join our communications team as the Senior Director of Communications and Public Relations. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive communication strategies that align with our business objectives.
Your primary focus will be on crafting the voice of our brand to inspire learners, instructors, and stakeholders, while establishing us as a trusted thought leader in the EdTech industry. You will work closely with our executive team to shape the company's narrative and messaging, leveraging your exceptional written and verbal communication skills to communicate complex ideas clearly and persuasively.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to lead a team of experienced professionals, collaborating with them to develop effective communication strategies, manage crisis communications, and build strong relationships with media outlets, journalists, and industry influencers.

Responsibilities- Strategic Communications: Develop and implement comprehensive communication strategies that align with our business objectives, collaborating with the executive team to shape the company's narrative and messaging.
- Media and Press Relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with key media outlets, journalists, and industry influencers, securing high-impact media coverage and managing crisis communications effectively.
- Content Development: Oversee and contribute to the creation of compelling content, including press releases, blog posts, whitepapers, and thought leadership articles, ensuring all communications are consistent with our brand voice and messaging.
- Analytics and Reporting: Monitor and analyze the effectiveness of communication strategies and campaigns, utilizing data and metrics to inform and adjust your approach for optimal impact.
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in communications and public relations, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Proven track record of securing high-impact media coverage and managing crisis communications effectively.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex ideas clearly and persuasively.
- Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Experience in the EdTech or SaaS industry is highly desirable.
- A Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field.

The estimated salary range for this role is $300,000 - $325,000 USD annually, based on factors such as job-related skills, qualifications, experience, and location. In addition to a base salary, this role is also eligible for benefits, equity, and a bonus.
