The Management Consulting Team at Pembroke Communications

Our Management Consulting division focuses on answering critical strategic questions for business and public-sector leaders through a unique blend of senior experience and rigorous analysis, combined with the expertise that exists across Pembroke Communications.

Pembroke Communications' Management Consulting division seeks an Executive Director to join its Private Equity Growth practice. The Private Equity Growth Practice works with leading technology investors and their portfolio companies on due diligence and value creation initiatives.

The Role

As an Executive Director, you will be an accomplished, consistent, and effective member of the Pembroke Communications Management Consulting team responsible for managing cases and case teams under the guidance of Managing Directors while developing junior members of the team.

  • Effectively lead and manage multiple complex engagements and their case teams with the support of the Private Equity Growth Managing Director team.
  • Work with case teams to independently develop the answer from initial hypothesis through refinement and validation with clients (as appropriate).
  • Lead presentations confidently and engagingly, effectively presenting output to the client.
  • Able to handle day-to-day liaison with senior clients, empathizing with their issues and escalating concerns where appropriate to Managing Directors.
  • Identify and lead the pursuit of on-sell opportunities within existing accounts from opportunity definition through opportunity close.
  • Support Managing Directors in all aspects of new Business Development, including developing thought leadership, drafting proposals, and attending pitches, conferences etc.
  • Contribute to the growth of the PEG practice, including the development of new service lines, sector focus, case materials, team training etc.
Qualifications
  • 10+ years' relevant work experience ideally within a Strategy or Management Consulting environment.
  • Demonstrated specialization in growth strategy for Private Equity-backed technology businesses.
  • Demonstrated experience in supporting Business Development in a consulting environment.
  • Experience across the full lifecycle of Private Equity consulting from deal work through value creation planning and execution.
  • Evidence of teamwork, leadership, and ambition, alongside relevant work experience.
  • Operates at a fast pace, demonstrating the ability to influence and challenge when needed.
  • Creats an immediate, positive, and credible impression on others.
  • Ensures all reports, data, and written work are correct in detail and without error.
  • Can skillfully and confidently influence and negotiate and maintains a positive relationship with all parties during difficult conversations.
  • Proactively takes on the challenge of unfamiliar tasks.

Base Salary Range

$240,000 - $255,000

Bonus Eligible

Yes

Total Compensation Package

Includes annualized bonus, 401k match, healthcare coverage, and a broad range of additional benefits and rewards.

Flexible Work Policy

Pembroke Communications believes in in-person collaboration when possible. Employees assigned to the New York and San Francisco offices are expected to work from the office location a minimum of three times a week.
