Position Summary:
This role is pivotal in managing the eCommerce operations related to receiving grocery orders from customers online. The responsibilities include ensuring that orders are accurately picked, appropriately packaged, and stored in a timely manner for customer pick-up.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the eCommerce workflow for processing online customer orders, including the picking or delegation of order fulfillment.
  • Review customer notes and special requests to ensure the selected products align with customer expectations, addressing any issues such as substitutions as needed.
  • Implement quality control measures while handling products, particularly perishables and fragile items, to minimize damage and enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Utilize scanning technology to confirm order totals, especially for items priced by weight, and manage any necessary substitutions.
  • Adhere to proper storage protocols to maintain product integrity at the correct temperatures.
  • Report any customer-related issues, discrepancies, or damages to management promptly.
  • Resolve customer complaints and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
  • Provide training and support to team members to ensure compliance with standards and expectations for customer service.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service by embodying the company’s service programs and maintaining high service standards.
  • Stay informed about industry trends and best practices, offering recommendations for program and process improvements.
  • Follow all safety and food handling guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED is preferred.
  • At least one year of experience in retail or a related field is preferred.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact professionally with customers.
  • Excellent organizational and prioritization abilities.
  • Proficient problem-solving skills and decision-making capabilities.
  • Effective leadership and training skills.
  • Ability to learn about products and store layout for efficient order picking.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
  • Flexibility to work varied schedules based on departmental needs.

Physical Requirements:
The physical demands of this position require the ability to lift and move items weighing up to 30 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally. The role involves standing and walking for extended periods, as well as bending, stooping, twisting, and turning. The work environment may vary in temperature and includes exposure to outdoor conditions.
