Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Legal Counsel to join our Trust and Safety team at Adobe. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in advising on legal obligations related to content moderation, child safety, third-party data disclosures, and transparency reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

Advise on legal obligations and develop policies and playbooks related to content moderation, child safety, third-party data disclosures, and transparency reporting.
Monitor progress on relevant global laws and regulations and develop compliance strategies for Adobe's suite of products and services.
Build awareness of the Trust and Safety program at Adobe, including advising on online safety risks of product and design initiatives.
Work cross-functionally with partners within Engineering, Privacy, Product Legal, Policy, AI Ethics, and other teams to complete complex projects, including supporting Policy's engagement with regulators and legislators on online safety issues.

Requirements:

A J.D. from an accredited law school and membership in at least one state bar required.
2+ years of relevant legal experience, including prior in-house or law firm experience.
Strong understanding of platform liability, cross-border evidence issues, and other global laws governing the creation, hosting, and sharing of user-generated content.
Basic understanding or willingness to learn about global privacy and data protection laws and frameworks.
Excellent legal and business judgment, including demonstrated experience assessing information for operational efficiency and risk mitigation opportunities.
Ability and appetite to learn quickly, with a curious mindset and drive to resolve complex issues.
Exceptional interpersonal skills, including a great sense of humor and capacity for working collaboratively with others.
Comfortable working with sensitive or graphic content.
Ability to travel occasionally.
