Travel CNA Opportunity with Competitive Pay

As a Travel Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) with the Good Samaritan Society, you will have the opportunity to provide compassionate care and support to seniors in various locations within a 150-mile radius of your home address.
**Job Summary:**
The Good Samaritan Society is seeking a dedicated and adaptable CNA to join our team as a Travel CNA. This role offers competitive pay, mileage reimbursement, flexibility, and no contract requirement. You will work collaboratively with our team to provide high-quality care to our residents, focusing on daily living activities, vital signs, psychosocial support, and personal care.
**Responsibilities:**
* Assist residents with basic health care needs, including bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing/undressing, obtaining and recording vital signs, and providing psychosocial support and other personal care.
* Use correct and appropriate transfer techniques and equipment to assist residents with transferring, repositioning, and walking.
* Provide range of motion and passive exercises to promote resident comfort and well-being.
* Assist with food preparation and dining, creating a positive dining experience for residents.
* Document resident interactions and outcomes related to resident care, behavior, activity, and dietary.
* Communicate resident's changing condition and care-related concerns/responses to the charge nurse.
* Collect non-invasive body fluid specimens and gather vital signs.
* Provide housekeeping and laundry services to assist residents with keeping living areas clean and operational.
* Participate in departmental/organization committees and task forces as needed.
**Requirements:**
* High school graduate or general equivalency diploma (GED) preferred but not required.
* Minimum age of 16.
* Prior clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care preferred.
* Required Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification with the State Board of Nursing, or state certified CNA within four months of date into the position by being enrolled in a training program or in the process of obtaining certification through Endorsement.
* Satisfactorily complete yearly department-specific competency testing and maintain a record of continuing education credits for each year.
* A minimum of 12 hours continuing education are required annually.
