We are seeking a compassionate and adaptable Certified Medication Aide to join our team as a Travel CMA in Pine River. This opportunity allows you to travel locally by working in various Good Samaritan Society locations within a 150-mile radius from your home address, providing care with competitive pay, mileage reimbursement, flexibility, and no contract requirement.

To be successful in this role, you will have a Trained Medication Aide Certificate of completion of the 48hr class and a valid CNA License. You will know how to deliver age-appropriate care related to the physical and psychological needs of residents as per plan of care. Your tasks may include assisting residents with daily living activities such as bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing/undressing, obtaining and recording vital signs, and providing psycho-social support and other personal care to assigned residents.

You may also assist residents in transferring, re-positioning, and walking using correct and appropriate transfer techniques and equipment and provide range of motion and passive exercises. Additionally, you will complete tasks related to food preparation and dining, while creating a positive dining experience for the residents. You will administer prescribed medications as delegated by a licensed nurse and within your scope of practice as defined by state regulations.

Your qualifications for this position should include a high school graduate or general equivalency diploma (GED) preferred, but not required. You should also have a minimum age of 18 preferred and prior clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care preferred. You will need to satisfactorily complete yearly department-specific competency testing and maintain a record of continuing education credits for each year. A minimum of 12 hours continuing education are required annually based on state requirements.

The salary for this position is approximately $22.25 per hour, considering the location and job description.
