The Diagnostic Medical Sonographer performs patient assessments, acquires and analyzes data, and uses independent judgment to produce high-quality diagnostic information. They provide summaries of findings to physicians and healthcare providers to aid in patient diagnosis and management.

Required qualifications include:

  • ARDMS registration or candidacy
  • Graduate of a CAAHEP-approved school of Ultrasonography or equivalent education and clinical experience
  • American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS certification
  • Specific experience and training in Ultrasound and proficiency in Ultrasound equipment

Estimated salary: $85,000 - $115,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
