Job Summary:

The successful candidate will collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to identify, develop, and onboard strategic low-cost country suppliers. This role will focus on driving competitive cost advantage, innovation, and supplier footprint optimization for Amcor Rigid Packaging.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the development and implementation of capital equipment, tooling, and equipment mechanical spare parts strategies in alignment with Business Group priorities.
  • Engage with functional/operational stakeholders to ensure category sourcing strategy is aligned with supplier technology/product roadmaps.
  • Understand and document cost components related to platforms, tools, and services to identify cost savings and capital expenditure opportunities.
  • Leverage the current supply base and identify new suppliers that meet Amcor performance standards and compliance requirements.
  • Drive cross-functional teams to implement supplier development and onboarding projects, primarily in Mexico.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in an Engineering field.
  • 10+ years of strong engineering and manufacturing experience, preferably in developing low-cost country suppliers.
  • 3+ years of accomplished project management experience.
  • Industry knowledge and experience with capital equipment, tooling, and mechanical spare parts in Mexico.
  • Proven experience in developing cost models, managing multiple projects, and complex projects.
