Job Title: Licensed Practical Nurse LPN

CIFC Health's Women's Health Department is seeking a compassionate and skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities:
  • Assess patient needs and provide care according to healthcare provider instructions.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers.
  • Monitor and record vital signs, medical history, and symptoms.
  • Assist with physical exams and medical procedures as needed and within licensure.
  • Provide education to patients and families on healthcare topics.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care.
  • Collaborate with school nurses, WIC colleagues, DCF, and other medical departments as needed.
  • Triage patient calls using established protocols to determine appropriate care.
  • Provide patient/family education on after-hours, triage, and referral services, as well as disease states.
  • Contact specialists to obtain letters and results, and help set up home therapies as determined by a provider.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Current LPN license in the state of Connecticut.
  • Previous experience in pediatrics preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills; bilingual strongly encouraged to apply.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Attention to detail and ability to multitask.
  • Understanding of medical terminology and nursing protocols.
  • Experience with electronic medical records required; eClinical Works preferred.
