Our client is a well-established metal fabrication firm with over four decades of experience. They specialize in delivering tailored manufacturing solutions across various industries, with a significant emphasis on aerospace. The organization prides itself on its in-house capabilities, including sheet metal work, welding, wiring, powder coating, and machining.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team of approximately 20 production personnel.
- Oversee P&L responsibilities and contribute to strategic leadership initiatives.
- Apply your expertise in metal fabrication to resolve production challenges on the shop floor.
- Champion continuous improvement efforts to enhance efficiency and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Adopt a hands-on approach to leadership, setting a positive example for your team.
- Identify production challenges and propose innovative solutions to senior management.
- Assist in troubleshooting machinery programming, leveraging your technical knowledge.
- Engage with clients and conduct Design for Manufacturing and Assembly (DFMA) evaluations.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in a metal fabrication setting, specifically in welding and sheet metal.
- At least 5 years of leadership experience, with a preference for managing teams of 20 or more.
- Proficient in SolidWorks and related design software.
- Possess an Associate's Degree or higher in a relevant field.
- A proactive, hands-on mentality, willing to engage directly in production activities.
- Experience in fixture design, jig creation, and DFMA methodologies.
- Familiarity with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
- Competitive base salary up to $100,000.
