About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Journeyman Chiller Mechanic to join our team as a Technical Team Leader. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years' experience in commercial, industrial, and/or institutional markets, with knowledge of maintenance procedures, troubleshooting, and installation of equipment from various brands.

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute contract maintenance visits, inspections, site assessments, and service requests for assigned primary service accounts.
  • Establish and maintain positive relationships with customers, vendors, and co-workers through effective communication skills.
  • Provide quote estimates for labor and material repairs and upgrades, and coach and mentor other HVAC Mechanics in quoting.
  • Represent the company as the direct customer contact, servicing products and equipment on assigned projects, ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Use cutting-edge software and technology, along with hand-tools and rigging equipment, to diagnose and repair equipment.
  • Enforce safety standards and maintain security and accountability of company assets.
  • Work as part of a team dedicated to delivering high-quality service, requiring flexibility to work overtime and weekends as needed.

Requirements

  • Universal Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Systems CFC Certification.
  • Experience with various Water and Air cooled Chillers, including York, Carrier, Trane, and Daikin.
  • Operating knowledge of Microsoft Office software and proficiency with hand-held computers.
  • Adherence to company safety program.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills and ability to lead a team of 6-12 Mechanics.
  • At least 5 years of commercial, industrial, and/or institutional experience with all types of HVAC systems, various compressor technologies, HVAC control systems, and speed drives, as well as leadership experience in managing small technical teams.
