Responsibilities

  • Plan, organize, and direct production, administrative, and warehouse activities to meet or exceed established production goals in a cost-effective manner.
  • Design, develop, and implement processes that increase yield and/or improve quality for all warehousing.
  • Perform workflow analysis and develop methods for the production team.
  • Coordinate with managers and supervisors to establish production and quality control standards.
  • Coordinate with customer service manager to resolve all operational customer complaints.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain processes, procedures, and programs to improve the safety, productivity, and profitability of the operation.
  • Implement and maintain DOT/OSHA and company programs and standards.
  • Ensure that employees and managers have the required safety training and are consistently working in a safe manner; develop and implement safety programs to reduce accidents and injuries.
  • Coordinate with managers to address organizational needs, equipment utilization, and maintenance.
  • Provide leadership, communication, and coaching to employees; cultivate a motivated employee environment of trust, teamwork, accountability, self-confidence, and business ownership.
  • Ensure that operational supplies are on hand and available at all times.
  • Ensure that warehouse operations comply with federal, state, local, and/or company policies and regulations.
  • Prepare all required reports and correspondence.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor department budget; manage expenses within approved budget constraints.
  • Identify, document, and implement opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Keep up to date on overall activities of the team, identifying problem areas and taking corrective actions.
  • Directly supervise warehouse personnel.
  • Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
