Job Description

At Foam Fabricators Inc, we are seeking a highly skilled Design Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering department, you will be responsible for designing and developing new products, improving existing products, and ensuring that all designs meet the required specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop new products from concept to production
  • Improve existing products to meet customer needs and market demands
  • Ensure that all designs meet the required specifications and standards
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that designs are feasible and cost-effective
  • Conduct research and analysis to identify new design trends and technologies
  • Create and maintain accurate design documentation
  • Participate in design reviews and provide feedback to improve designs

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering disciplines with packaging engineering preferred
  • Proven experience as a Design Engineer with 4-6 years of component design experience within manufacturing environment, packaging componentry experience is preferred
  • Strong knowledge of materials, manufacturing processes, and engineering principles
  • Proven experience in EPS or other molded foams and injection molding processes
  • Experience with continuous improvement discipline (Lean or Six Sigma) is a plus
