This is a Student Nurse - I position in the Education Department at Community Medical Center. The role is designed to work around your school schedule, and we are flexible with the scheduled hours.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in assuring optimal patient care under the supervision of an RN or LPN.
- Provide nursing students with the opportunity to gain valuable experience in an actual hospital setting.
- Perform routine treatment procedures and assist in maintaining a safe, clean environment.
- Ensure adherence to hospital and departmental policies and procedures.
- Provide basic patient care, including vital signs, intake and output, and patient positioning.
- Assist with routine procedures such as enemas, sitz baths, and surgical preps.
- Participate in in-service and staff activities to contribute to ongoing development of knowledge and techniques.
- Current student in first year of an Associate Degree Nursing Program or completion of 2 years of a Baccalaureate Program in good academic standing with a "C" or better grade point average.
- BLS certification to be obtained within 30 days.
