Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop new products and equipment related to new product development.
  • Perform material tests and studies to implement improvements on new products.
  • Prepare and manage specifications for new products.
  • Assist technicians and engineers with unusual problems and provide technical guidance.
  • Responsible for purchasing and designing equipment that meets safety and environmental requirements.
  • Perform activities of process/product validation.
  • Supervise, coordinate, and technically revise the work of a limited group of technicians.
  • Communicate business-related issues or opportunities to next management level.


Requirements:
  • 3+ years of medical device experience in NPD.
  • Technical/Functional Skills:
    • Perform and document moderately complex technical functions relating to test, quality control, client-out, fabrication, modification, and assembly of mechanical or electrical equipment and/or components.
    • Perform electrical, mechanical, electromechanical, developmental design duties in new product development engineering.
    • Experience in new product development (NPD) with Solidworks.
  • Knowledge of good manufacturing practices and documentation, preferably in the medical industry.
  • Experiment design, SPC knowledge, management of statistical procedures, and knowledge of computer programs.
  • Oral and written communication in Spanish and English, preferably.
