Job Summary

Paradigm Healthcare at Bay City is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care and contribute to the overall success of our organization.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct nursing care to patients under the supervision of a registered nurse or physician, adhering to the nurse practice act, federal and state regulations, facility policies, and procedures.
  • Deliver care to patients in accordance with their individualized plans of care, following current physician orders, rules, regulations, and guidelines that govern nursing care facilities.
  • Utilize the facility's written policies and procedures to ensure the day-to-day functions of the nursing service department are performed in accordance with acceptable nursing standards.
  • Ensure the confidentiality of patients' protected health information and promptly report any suspected or known violations of such disclosure to the Administrator.
  • Conduct regular rounds of the assigned unit to ensure that all nursing service personnel are performing their work assignments in accordance with acceptable nursing standards.
  • Oversee nurse aides and communicate with and oversee nursing home staff to ensure that specific policies, procedures, and systems are maintained correctly as it relates to the department.
Requirements
  • Must possess a current, unencumbered, active license to practice as a Licensed Vocational Nurse in the state.
  • 2 years of experience in Long-Term Care experience is preferred.
  • Six (6) months of experience in rehabilitative and restorative nursing practices is preferred.
  • Must demonstrate leadership, organizational skills, and maintain a positive and professional attitude.
  • Strong utilization knowledge of Point Click Care is preferred.
  • Computer literacy skills (Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Office, Internet) are required.
