Job Summary

The Licensed Practical Nurse, Telehealth Clinical Technician position is located within the 32nd Street Clinic, Nursing, Geriatrics and Extended Care Service at the Phoenix VA Healthcare System in Phoenix, AZ. The incumbent will provide comprehensive care to patients with a variety of physical and/or behavioral problems.

Responsibilities

  • Provide nursing care to patients with a range of conditions, including acute and chronic illnesses, injuries, and mental health concerns.
  • Administer medications, perform treatments, and document patient responses as per established policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans.
  • Use telehealth technology to remotely monitor patient vital signs, administer medications, and conduct virtual consultations.
  • Develop and maintain accurate and detailed records of patient interactions, medication administration, and treatment outcomes.
  • Participate in educational programs and training sessions to enhance clinical knowledge and skills.
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in healthcare policies, regulations, and best practices.

Requirements

  • Degree: Graduate of a school of practical or vocational nursing approved by the State agency and/or accredited by NLNAC.
  • Licensure: Full, active, current, and unrestricted licensure as a licensed practical or vocational nurse in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States, or District of Columbia.
  • Experience: Completion of at least one (1) year of qualifying experience at the GS-5 level or equivalent, fully meeting all performance requirements for the GS-5 LPN/LVN.
