Southwest Medical Imaging is seeking a skilled CT Technologist to join our team.

This position is responsible for performing high-quality CT scans of the body for diagnostic purposes under the direction of a physician. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to work independently, and demonstrate a commitment to providing exceptional patient care.

We are looking for someone who is flexible and able to work varied shifts at multiple locations.

About the Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • Able to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear.
  • Able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • An Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two year college or technical school.
  • MRTBE/AZDHS certification.
  • ARRT board certification in CT.
  • CPR certification.
  • I.V. Skills.
About the Job Description

The CT Technologist performs CT examinations of the body for diagnostic purposes under direction of a physician.

The technologist explains procedure to patient, positions and immobilizes patient in exam scanners, monitors video display of area being scanned, reviews and evaluates images for technical quality for diagnostic purposes, uses radiation safety measures and protection devices, answers patient, technologist and radiologist questions, verifies exams for completion in PACS, completes charting work in RIS, understands and demonstrates correct usage of necessary equipment to perform procedures, follows protocols requested by Radiologist, demonstrates appropriate use of communication tool that allows patient and technologist to communicate during examination, enters data such as patient history, anatomical area to be scanned, orientation specified, and position of entry into aperture into computer, completes forms and maintains records, logs, and reports of work performed, performs routine maintenance, diagnoses malfunctions, and is responsible in arranging for repairs as needed.

The CT Technologist is expected to go beyond duties in order to do what is best for the patients and department.

The successful candidate will possess strong problem-solving skills, be able to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner, gather and analyze information skillfully, develop alternative solutions, and use reason even when dealing with emotional topics.
