Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Diagnostic Imaging Specialist to join our team at Southwest Medical Imaging. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our organization.

About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and detail-oriented individual to work in a fast-paced environment where no two days are the same. As a Diagnostic Imaging Specialist, you will be responsible for performing a variety of diagnostic imaging procedures, including CT and MRI scans, using state-of-the-art equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Explain procedures to patients, reducing anxieties and obtaining cooperation

  • Position and immobilize patients in exam scanners, observing during scans for patient safety

  • Monitor video displays of areas being scanned, adjusting technique to improve image quality

  • Review and evaluate images for technical quality and diagnostic purposes

  • Use radiation safety measures and protection devices to comply with government regulations

  • Able to answer patient, technologist, and radiologist questions

  • Maintain accurate records and reports of work performed

  • Perform routine maintenance, diagnose malfunctions, and arrange for repairs as needed

  • Flexible to work at multiple locations and varied shifts

Requirements:

  • Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school

  • Certificates, Licenses, Registrations – MRTBE ARRT board certification in CT and MR must be obtained within 24 months

  • CPR and I.V. Skills
