Nursing Assistant, Certified, Long Term Care Professional

Job SummaryThe Nursing Assistant Trainee is an entry-level position that provides an opportunity to develop the skills and knowledge necessary to become a certified nursing assistant. Under the supervision of a licensed nurse, you will work in partnership with a preceptor to provide holistic client-centered care that promotes independence and client rights in a safe, caring, and efficient manner.
Responsibilities- Assist clients with activities of daily living, such as bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing, undressing, and obtaining vital signs.
- Provide psychosocial support and deliver other personal care as assigned.
- Assist with basic health care needs, such as transferring, repositioning, range of motion exercises, and walking using appropriate transfer techniques and equipment.
- Assist clients with meals and snacks, and provide water and nutritional supplements as appropriate.
- Assist with housekeeping, laundry services, and other duties as assigned.
- High school graduate or general equivalency diploma (GED) preferred, but not required.
- Minimum age of 16.
- Prior clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care preferred.
- Dependent on facility and required responsibilities, this role may classify as a Sanford Category II Driver requiring a motor vehicle report and proof of valid driver's license.
