About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant to join our team at the Good Samaritan Society. As a key member of our long-term care team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care and support to our residents.

Responsibilities
  • Provide personalized care and support to residents, including assistance with daily living activities, personal hygiene, and social interactions.
  • Assist residents with transferring, repositioning, and walking using proper techniques and equipment.
  • Deliver a positive dining experience and assist residents with meals, snacks, and supplements.
  • Document resident care and behavior, ensuring accurate and timely reporting.
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment, handling and disposing of linens, soiled clothing, and supplies properly.
Requirements
  • High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
  • Minimum age of 16. Prior clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care preferred.
  • Required Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification with the State Board of Nursing, or state certified CNA within four months of date into the position by being enrolled in a training program or in the process of obtaining certification through Endorsement.
  • Satisfactorily completes yearly department-specific competency testing and maintains a record of continuing education credits for each year.
