About the Role

Sunflower Bank is seeking a skilled Mortgage Loan Originator to join our team. As a Mortgage Loan Originator, you will be responsible for developing leads and originating mortgage loans through branches, realtors, and builders, as well as responding to referrals from branch personnel and others.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and lead mortgage loans through branches, realtors, and builders.
  • Interview mortgage loan applicants and take loan applications from customers.
  • Send applicant files to processors in the centralized loan support area.
  • Respond to referrals from branch personnel and others.
  • Assist in obtaining additional data or information when requested by processors.
  • Cross-sell all bank products and services.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field or equivalent experience, MBA or Master's Degree preferred.
  • 2+ years of lending experience preferred.
  • Creativity, flexibility, integrity, and a commitment to customer support are essential.
  • Ability to work autonomously exercising considerable independent judgment.
  • Ability to maintain composure in stressful situations.
  • Ability to work flexible hours.
