Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team at Judson Retirement Community. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide exceptional clinical care and support to our residents, ensuring their physical and emotional well-being.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Provide direct care to residents, including administering medications, performing wound care, and assisting with daily living activities.
  2. Conduct thorough assessments of residents' physical and psychosocial needs, developing and implementing individualized care plans to meet their unique requirements.
  3. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care coordination and communication.
  4. Participate in quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the development and implementation of evidence-based practices that enhance resident outcomes.
  5. Provide education and support to residents, families, and staff on various topics, including disease management, medication adherence, and healthy lifestyle choices.
  6. Document resident care and progress accurately, maintaining up-to-date records and communicating effectively with the healthcare team.
  7. Assist with the orientation and training of new staff members, promoting a culture of excellence and teamwork.
  8. Participate in facility-sponsored educational opportunities, staying current with best practices and industry developments.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will possess:

  • A clear and active license as a Registered Nurse in the state of Ohio.
  • A current working knowledge of state and federal rules and regulations related to long-term care.
  • Minimal computer literacy, with proficiency in electronic medical records and other relevant software.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
  • A commitment to providing exceptional customer service and promoting a culture of respect and empathy.
Working Conditions

This role requires working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with exposure to resident waste and blood products. You will use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and universal precautions to ensure a safe working environment.

The work schedule is 24 hours per week, with hours of work from 7:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. on a rotating basis, including weekends and holidays.
