This role is tailored for seasoned professionals; Nurse Graduates are not considered for this position. Experience in Critical Care is highly preferred.

We are in search of enthusiastic and qualified Registered Operating Room Nurses for our advanced Surgical Department. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining a safe environment in the Operating Room for both patients and surgeons, engaging in scrubbing and circulating duties. You will also provide essential healthcare guidance to patients and their families, while meticulously documenting nursing assessments, observations, and patient histories. Additionally, you will manage medication administration, including IV fluids and blood products, and must be proficient with departmental equipment and technology.
Key Qualifications:
- A minimum of two years of experience in an Operating Room within an acute care setting.
- Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, and PALS.
- Experience with procedural and conscious sedation.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to thrive in a high-pressure environment.
- Knowledgeable in nursing care across various surgical specialties.

- Performing intraoperative nursing responsibilities.
- Collecting and interpreting relevant patient data.
- Identifying and responding to medical emergencies.
- Assisting in patient positioning for surgical procedures.
- Coordinating patient transfers to and from surgical tables.
- Managing surgical schedules based on patient needs and procedural changes.
- Ensuring patient safety by preventing injuries from various sources.
- Conducting accounting procedures to avoid retained surgical items.
- Verifying correct surgical site and procedure.
- Managing specimens in accordance with organizational policies.
- Communicating patient status effectively to the care team.
- Administering medications with precision.
- Ensuring normothermia for patients post-surgery.
- Performing additional duties as assigned.
- Valid California Registered Nurse license.
- Current BLS certification.
- ACLS certification within three months of hire.
- Understanding of the Nurse Practice Act.
- Current nursing theories and practices relevant to the clinical setting.
- Safety and infection control protocols.
- Familiarity with clinical systems and equipment.
