This is a remote, field-based role covering Florida and the Gulf Coast.

About the Role

The Principal Medical Value Liaison/Senior Medical Value Liaison provides scientific and health economics/outcomes research support for Daiichi Sankyo initiatives and engages in dissemination of Daiichi Sankyo product/portfolio total value proposition to customers in various US healthcare segments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver scientific and pharmacoeconomic data for Daiichi Sankyo products to healthcare system decision makers responsible for managing medical care in various settings.
  • Identify and communicate scientific, clinical, health outcomes, and pharmacoeconomic research information and objectives of healthcare decision makers to appropriate Daiichi Sankyo colleagues.
  • Collaborate with Medical Liaisons to meet the mutual scientific, clinical, therapeutic area, and Daiichi Sankyo product informational needs of healthcare decision makers and healthcare professionals.
  • Develop strategic input into the development and implementation of Disease Management education programs and tools for use with customers.
  • Lead the ongoing debate from a Daiichi Sankyo point of view with key internal and external stakeholders, ensuring this point of view is presented in credible publications.
  • Build and cultivate direct relationships with identified opinion leaders and payer influencers in practice and/or academia to discuss therapeutic areas important to Daiichi Sankyo.
  • Coordinate scientific presentations and communications within the geographical area of responsibility between healthcare system decision makers and Daiichi Sankyo colleagues.
  • Attend select scientific meetings and professional conferences for continuing education, presenting health outcomes research and pharmacoeconomic data when appropriate, and scientific exchange with value-based decision makers.
  • Gather customer insights to help inform medical and commercial decision making.
Requirements

Successful candidates will have a PharmD, M.D., or Ph.D. in a health sciences-related field, with a Master's in pharmaco-epidemiology, epidemiology, or health economics preferred.

Principal Medical Value Liaison must have 4 or more years of experience in medical & scientific affairs, clinical practice, research, academic, or US managed markets, with a minimum of 4 years in the pharmaceutical industry preferred, and 1-year of experience as a Principal Medical Value Liaison or related experience required.

Senior Medical Value Liaison must have 4 or more years of experience in medical & scientific affairs, clinical practice, research, academic, or US managed markets, with a minimum of 3 years in the pharmaceutical industry preferred, and 1-year of experience as a Sr. Medical Value Liaison or related experience required.

Previous experience in oncology, pharmaco-economics, health outcomes research, disease management principles and tools, and evidence-based medicine is preferred.

A valid driver's license with a driving record that meets company requirements is also necessary.
