Job Summary

This position requires a skilled and detail-oriented individual to safely operate multiple ovens in the Pre-Cooked Department, producing high-quality egg patties, omelets, and French toast. The successful candidate will have a thorough knowledge of oven operations, product specifications, and cook process procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain the operation of all ovens and pre-heat systems, ensuring efficient production and quality control.
  • Troubleshoot oven issues and collaborate with maintenance to identify and resolve problems.
  • Switch pre-heat scrapes during production runs and ensure accurate documentation of Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP).
  • Assist the Lead Person in maintaining production levels and work with the team to develop improved processing procedures.
  • Monitor product quality and take corrective action as needed, ensuring compliance with GMP and HACCP guidelines.
  • Perform other duties as assigned, including working with the Oven Operators Council and adhering to safe work practices.
Requirements

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of oven operations, product specifications, and cook process procedures. They will also possess excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work well under pressure and in a team environment.

Additional requirements include:

  • Less than high school education.
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Ability to write simple correspondence and effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Preferred Qualifications

The following qualifications are preferred but not required:

  • Powered Industrial Truck (PIT) Certification.
  • Basic computer skills to work Programmable Logic Controls (PLC's) of the ovens and spirals.
  • Good mechanical skills, including the use of and personal ownership of Allen wrenches, screwdrivers, and other general tools.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs safely.
  • Ability to work indoors in a warm humid environment for the duration of the shift.
  • Ability to travel stairs.
Work Environment

This position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a high level of attention to detail. The successful candidate will be able to work well under pressure and in a team environment, with a strong commitment to food safety and quality control.

The work environment is indoors, with a warm and humid environment. The successful candidate will be required to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and adhere to safe work practices.
