Responsibilities and Qualifications

Under the guidance of the Radiology Director, Medical Director, and RN Radiology Coordinator, the Radiology RN is responsible for assisting with patient care in various diagnostic and interventional procedures. Key responsibilities include:

  • Conducting nursing assessments in line with established facility protocols.
  • Maintaining precise documentation of patient information within the radiology department.
  • Demonstrating proficiency in the use of patient monitoring equipment and performing emergency cardiopulmonary resuscitation when necessary.
  • Instructing and mentoring Radiology and Nuclear Medicine students in clinical nursing practices.
  • Participating in rotating standby calls for interventional procedures.

Required Qualifications:

  • Active registered nurse license in the relevant state(s) or a compact license as per legal requirements. Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certifications are mandatory.
  • A minimum of one year of experience in a critical care setting, including proficiency in monitoring vital signs and cardiac rhythms.
  • Graduation from an accredited nursing program or possession of a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing.
