Position Overview:
UNC Hospitals Rehabilitation Services is seeking applications for a full-time Acute Care Physical Therapist II role. This position supports our Enhanced Rehabilitation program within the acute hospital environment, providing thorough evaluations and therapeutic interventions to a varied patient demographic with differing acuity levels.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Conduct comprehensive evaluations and establish Physical Therapy (PT) treatment objectives, creating a tailored PT treatment plan and managing necessary resources to achieve patient goals.
2. Efficiently manage a diverse PT caseload.
3. Collaborate closely with the interdisciplinary team to deliver exceptional patient-centered care, promoting functional improvement and facilitating discharge planning throughout care transitions.
4. Provide clinical oversight and mentorship to other staff and students, including planning orientation and learning activities, while offering regular feedback and assessment of performance.
Qualifications:
Education:
- Graduation from an accredited Physical Therapy program.
Licensure/Certification:
- Licensed as a Physical Therapist in the state of North Carolina.
- BLS certification.
Experience:
- A minimum of five (5) years of experience as a licensed Physical Therapist, including at least one (1) year in a specialized field.
Skills and Abilities:
- Excellent time management and communication skills are essential for thriving in a fast-paced environment. A strong work ethic and a growth-oriented mindset are crucial for candidates.
Work Schedule:
- Full-time position, 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, with occasional weekend and holiday coverage.
