Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled Systems Test Engineer to become a vital part of our Software Systems, Safety, and Test Engineering team. This team is dedicated to the rigorous verification and validation of our self-driving technology, tackling one of the most complex challenges in systems engineering.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with leadership to formulate testing strategies for the Aurora Driver.
- Utilize a variety of testing methodologies, including simulation, Hardware-In-Loop (HIL), and real-world testing to support autonomy development.
- Design and implement test plans, analyze outcomes, and identify any discrepancies in system performance.
- Engage with development teams to investigate issues and facilitate their resolution.
- Communicate complex concepts clearly and effectively to stakeholders and team members.
- Develop and refine processes that exemplify best practices in test engineering.
- Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, or a related engineering discipline.
- A minimum of 8 years of relevant industry experience.
- Demonstrated expertise in testing and evaluating complex systems.
- Familiarity with various testing tools and methodologies.
- Ability to convert data into actionable insights for decision-making.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Experience in testing high-stakes and safety-critical products.
- Knowledge of risk assessment methodologies.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python for data management.
- Prior exposure to autonomous systems, particularly in the automotive sector.
- Understanding of automotive safety standards and regulatory requirements.
- Experience with mission-critical hardware or software in safety-sensitive industries.
- Familiarity with software development practices and version control systems.
The compensation for this role is competitive and commensurate with experience and qualifications. In addition to a base salary, the successful candidate will be eligible for bonuses, equity compensation, and a comprehensive benefits package.
